How A Reset Works
- PauseHand on your chest. Breathe in for 4 and out for 6, five times, with the timer.
- AcceptFinish the sentence: this is here. Then name the part that is outside your control.
- UnderstandPick the word for the feeling and ask what else it could be about.
- StrengthenChoose one small thing that helps for the next hour.
- EvolveDecide what you carry forward, then score the feeling again.
Quiz
Which tab would you open first?
- What is going on today?
- A feeling is bigger than the moment
- I want to build steadiness before the next wobble
- My mind goes blank when I am upset
- What would help most right now?
- Five minutes and a clear order of steps
- One small practice a day
- Words and cards I can grab
Start with Reset
Open the Reset tab and take the five steps in order. It takes about five minutes.
Start with 30 Days
Open Day 1 and do the one-minute pause. Add one small practice a day.
Start with My Kit
Read the four cards and write your own version of each script, while you are calm.
Good To Know
Tip
Do one reset on a day when nothing is wrong. The steps are much easier to find once you have done them calm.
Good to know
Your resets, ticks and kit save as you go. Signed in, they are kept on your account. Signed out, they stay in this browser until you sign in.
Watch out
This is a self-help tool. It is not therapy, it cannot diagnose anything and it does not replace professional care. If you are in danger or in crisis, call 911 or, in the US, call or text 988.
Reflect
Three questions before you start
- What tipped you over last time?Say what happened, not what it meant.
- What did you do in the first minute?
- What would you like to do instead?
Why This Works
The idea
A short, fixed order is easier to follow when you are upset than a long method. Five steps and one question for each, so you are not deciding what to do while you are already stretched.
Who It Is For
Women who feel stuck in a rut because a feeling keeps getting in the way, and want a plain way to steady themselves in the moment and build that skill over 30 days.
