Getting out of a rut when you are not sure which way to go
A rut is mostly daily routines nobody chose. You do the same things in the same order because it is easy, and one day you notice you cannot say what you would pick if the choice was yours.
The Direction Finder asks six short questions: where you are right now, which part of your life needs more life in it, what keeps getting postponed, what usually gets in the way, how much time you can honestly give this week, and what would make this week feel more like yours. At the end you get a Starter Plan for An ALIVE List.
How to use it
- Pick the answer that feels closest, even if none fits perfectly.
- Be honest about your time. A plan for fifteen minutes you will use beats a plan for two hours you will not.
- Download the text version of your plan and read it again in a few days.
- Do the one small thing it suggests before you do anything else with it.
Why it is here
Most people who feel stuck are not short of ideas. They are short of a clear next step that fits the week they actually have. This tool turns what keeps getting postponed into one small choice you can make this week.
