Here’s something to think about. Why would you start your own online business? What will it provide for you?

Money ? - but what will having money give you?

Typically people are looking to be free from debt, be able to choose

Nothing can change when you live in denial. When you pretend that
everything is okay when it isn’t, or when you refuse to look at what
the problem is.

I understand, it’s scary stuff, if you look at it then you have to
do something about it! And so people decide not to look at whatever is
wrong in their life. They decide to complain about not having the
perfect relationship rather than doing something to create it.  They
whine about health, weight, debt and all the time not willing to do a
thing.

Awareness followed by acknowledgement = acceptance

When you become aware of the problem and choose to acknowledge it then it can lead to acceptance.

Once you accept that something needs to change the next question is how do I do it?

And the "how" of change is one of the biggest reasons people don’t
try, because they just don’t know how or what to do next, or even who
to talk to.

Life was never meant to be a struggle by Stuart Wilde was one of the
books (or booklet as he calls it because it is a small book and quite
short) that made a huge difference in my when I first read it years ago.

Because
I always highlight the books I read it means when I pick them up again
I tend to only focus on the highlight bits which makes re-reading it
faster. (always a good idea to re-read a book at least 3-4 times over a
12 month period).

Here are some great quotes:

"………
If you accept full responsibility for your life, you will accept that
your destiny is created by you. And that your life is basically a
symbol of your inner most thoughts and feelings - of what you believe
about yourself.

He identifies a number of characters that "live" in the strugglers hall of fame:

The Hero - weakness - a lack of personal acceptance

The Terrorist - weakness - Bears a grudge on society

Professional Wimp - weakness - Does not command life

"Spiritual" Wimp - weakness - huge ego, feels like God dropped him off on earth to sit around being "special"

The
Goddess - weakness - similar to spiritual wimp, may dress like a man,
act tougher or with a anything you can do I can do better attitude

Wilting Wallflower - weakness - I am not capable please help me (this one was definitely be back in the day!!)

The conclusion of Life Was Never Meant to be a Struggle by Stuart Wilde:

Once
you acknowledge and accept the struggles in your life (and it takes
courage to identify them) then you have the power to transced.

"Once
you accept you are the cause of struggle you can then affirm, with
certainty, that all struggle in your life can be eliminated, given time"

Its
a quick read and a fantastic book. If I had to give Life Was Never
Meant to be a Struggle by Stuart Wilde a rating I would rate it 7 out
of 10!

When putting a plan together to work on line,
deciding what motivates you and creating a compelling vision that moves
you towards it, it can be a useful exercise to dedicating some time
defining what success will look like for you.

For
a few years now success for me has always been about following my
heart, making a difference and living with passion. As long as I am
doing one or all three of these things I am successful.

What will success look like for you?

If
you have been fortunate enough to discover what you are passionate
about, your purpose in life, then you are truly blessed. Look at how
you can use this to generate passive income. Getting paid doing
something we love really puts the fun in work!

Brainstorm ideas! Just write them all down. Start by saying

I am successful when……..

Then
make a list and see what shows up. Once you have done that take a look
at your list and rate them. On a scale of 1-10 (with 1 being not
important and 10 being extremely important) rate your list and then
write out anything that falls into the top 7.

Now
with seven items (have more or less if you want, it’s your list!!!),
rate them from 1-7. If you are unsure about which is the more important
one, answer this question

If I can have x but I can’t have y does that matter?

So as an example, if I can have peace but I can’t have money does that matter?

Remember,
this is a way of defining your success, so if peace is more important
then rate it higher than money. If not rate money higher. Go through
each one until you have them in a 1-7 order.

Now
create one or two sentences of what success means for you using your 7
key words in whatever order you like. So as an example if my key
success words were:

1. peace
2. money
3. freedom
4. flexibility
5. making a difference
6. leaving a legacy
7. time for me

My sentence may say something along the lines of:

Success
for me is about having the peace, freedom and flexibility to earn money
while making a difference and leaving a legacy. My online business will
provide me with time for me and my family.

Now
you know that as long as your online business provides you with this
then you are successful. Even if you do not end up earning a six figure
sum or becoming a “guru”, you are still successful in your own eyes.
And they are the only eyes that really matter!

YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE, UNTIL YOU ARE HAPPY WITH WHO YOU ARE.  Zig Ziglar
