How To Reorganize Your Time to Accomodate Your Home Based Business

H. John  Johnsen

  Amost
everyone needs or wants more money coming in, and with this desire most
would like to start some sort of extra income producing project. The
trouble is, not many of these people seem able to fit "a second job"
into their time schedules.

It’s true that most people are busy, but extra time for some sort of
home-based extra income producing project can almost always be found.
It may mean giving up or changing a few of your favorite pastimes–such
as having a couple of beers with the guys or watching TV–but if you
score big with your extra income project, you will have all the time
you want for doing whatever you what to do.

They F*** You Up by Oliver James

Book & Product reviews No Comments »

I was told about a really great book with a really dodgy title! Well, not dodgy but I felt a little unsure about whether to post about it here. Then I figured most teens have heard/said a lot more than just the “F” word!

Its called “They F”"” you up - How to survive family life” by Oliver James

It talks about how our parents mess with our heads but only because they had their head messed with, as did their parents, and their parents etc etc

What’s happened is we are living into the programming of our family, negative programming that will limit us if we allow it. Of course anything can be re-programmed but it is up to us to decide what new programming we want to place in our head.

Its so easy to believe you are not good enough, need to be a good girl (that’s my one!) or some other conversation we have. Now we can decide to believe we are awesome, capable, enough, vibrant, strong, courageous, wealthy, or whatever we want to choose.

It’s a great book, you will identify your family “scripts”

Peronally, I think every parent should read it, so teens, you know what to buy your mum and dad for their birthday!

Its Been A Funny Weekend!

Diane's Words! No Comments »

I went from being cautious, to curious, to excited, back to cautious, into frustration, down to letting go!

All this happened from Friday to Sunday evening. How? I spoke to someone who after talking to me on the phone (having never known me before) decided they wanted to work with me. Now whilst I believe in the power of connecting I wasn’t convinced this was for real, plus I never endorse anything I haven’t used, so being curious we arranged to meet.  It seems there was a solution to my weight loss that had eluded me and I was excited. But I never made it to the appointment, I received an email and the goal posts had changed, I was cautious. Now the person decided they have changed their mind, very frustrating. But then I decided to let it go, I had no time to waste on this.

Then I sent an invoice for wasting my time.  Quite a weekend!

Whilst I love the internet, network groups and places like myspace, I have received some invitations from people that always sound too good to be true and I am so glad I kept my distance on this one. It saved me weeks and possibly months of wasting my time.

It was also a reminder. I said at the beginning of the year that I was focusing on 2 or 3 things only and this would have taken me away from most things. So I am back focusing and NOTHING will get in my way again. Next time someone rings me I won’t be so generous with my time………!

Creating Community with Podcasts

Diane's Words! No Comments »

Its 1957 and the family are huddled around
the wireless waiting for the start of their favourite show…………..

Fast forward 50 years and its 2007, the
wireless has been replaced by the podcast. The family still get to hear their
favourite show but now mom downloads it and listens to it on her iPod on the
way to work, dad downloads it, burns it on to a CD and listens in the car. Sarah has a pda, downloads it and listens to
it during her lunch hour at work and Mark downloads it to his mobile phone and
listens to it during his high school math lesson (not very clever!)

And now the “family” of listeners has grown too. People from Japan, Australia and Africa are all tuning in to the same show.
A community is born out of their love for a weekly broadcasted podcast.

This is what makes podcasts so
powerful. This is how podcasts have
begun to shape a worldwide “family” or community of listeners.

A news report I came across

Work at home business NEWS No Comments »
LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) — If you are an employee,
you have little control over your tax destiny. Starting your own small
business could change that a lot.
As a
salaried employee you can play with 401(k) deferrals, cafeteria plans
or maybe a health savings account or some other retirement plan if you
qualify. Owning a rental property might also help. Other than that,
you’re pretty much locked in.

But here’s a secret — and believe me, I know from experience: If you
start a legitimate business, even a small one, the new tax levers
you’ll get can really work to your advantage.
